Sara McCarthy is a musician who plays several instruments: guitar, piano, harmonium, vocals and percussion. She is influenced by musical styles from Brazil, America, Ireland, India and Arabic-speaking countries. She is especially fond of Blues.
Sara is currently writing her first album Maamtrasna Blues. This is based on her time living in Ireland and hearing music which came from the land. It is an exploration of where Irish music meets the Blues.
